PS: the believe (sic) in a personal god is naive and represents solely the psychological need to be saved or protected by some. Ah, the ideological bias comes out! Is it not better to be an agnostic, open to both sides? This is where I was for years. Also are you saying only atheists can be scientists?? I must get going on my work now (I have spent far too much time on this).

JW scientist banned from Institute's WebSite because of Creationistic Views
by GermanXJW inrecently, dr. wolf-ekkehard loennig, a jw working in a leading position at the gene-science-department at the max-planck-institute, has been banned from the institute's website for spreading his view about evolution.
he promotes the so called "intelligents design".

about the ID scientits...it completely depends on what they work....for instance one can sequence a genome and publish the result without believing in evolution. therefore relevant are only the publications concerning evolution . Not really. Many publish in journals on the topic of evolution (remember micro is no problem and all empirical work is in this area).

in quantum theory you have a break of the causality principle...so it might not be necessary to have something prior to the beginning of the universe. These are words only that describe a theory. Do you have clear empirical proof of this theory? And has it been replicated? If so by who and where was it published? I think you get my point.

I need 8 hours to respond to all this! One thing secondly...what in the world has theistic ID to do with SETI or especially forensics??? or was that an ironic comment? It is a good idea to read what ID has to say (they say a lot about SETI and forensics and it is key to the ID theory). This remind me of students book reports (many try to do one without reading the book!)

All these are faults of Creationism and ID too. Such ideologies frequently fail to conform to accepted scientific practice - which is why articles from such viewpoints have difficulty getting published. The evidence for Creation or ID simply isn't there, they are theories undermined by the LACK of evidence for the claimed mechanism, there is undeniable ideological inflexibility, and Creationists and IDers, and religionists in general revise their theories of science and belief continually, and have been doing so for thousands of years . This is ideological inflexibility? The evidence for Creation or ID simply isn't there . In fact there is so much of it that it will take years to publish just what exists now (I have my life's work cut out now with my existing projects). And the evidence grows each day.

who claimed ID scientists are dumb? its the theory thats dumb! or lets say intrinsically unscientific. This is pure name calling and has been responded to by many people far more qualified than I. ID is the basis of SETI, of forensics and many other sciences. I taught forensic last year so am familiar with how central ID is to the field. Was a death natural, accidental, or by ID (murder or suicide)? The problem is, in attacking ID you are attacking most every scientist who believes in a personnel God of some type (and many who just believe in a god of any type). This includes a lot of people including theistic evolutionists. It also includes our current president and many in his administration. (I think I opened up a can of worms here)

Now, Jerry, will you (as you are a handy Creationist of some description) please explain to me if the precept of Intelligent Design is true (no complex design without a designer (in Dutch, "Geen aap zonder banaan")), then who designed the designer? A good and a very common question. The traditional Christian Jewish Muslim answer was no one. He is eternally existent. The same problem exists in all cosmologies. All must conclude an uncaused first cause or an infinity of causes of some type. Example: where did the primordial egg come from? The preprimordial egg? Well, where did that come from? The perperprimordial egg? And so it goes on back to infinity, where ever that is.

Indeed, according to Lawrence Krauss, a Case Western Reserve University physicist who has contested Meyer and others during the Ohio debates, a recent survey of more than 10 million science articles published in the past 12 years shows just 88 references to "intelligent design," the vast bulk of which appear in engineering journals. None reported favorably on ID theory, according to Krauss.
This is dishonest. The reason is we do not usually use the search words he used "intelligent design" as that would almost guarantee the rejection of an article before it was even read! I just published an article in a leading secular biology journal last month and never used the word once, so it would not come up on his search. This statement by Krauss (an open atheist) is clearly deceptive as he should know this. His conclusion implies something that is clearly demonstrably false. Many thousands of article exist in the journals that support ID written by ID supporters. I would say hundreds of thousands but have not done a count so can not say this but I am sure it is correct. I have a file cabinet full of articles and I don't have even close to all of them. I do have about 5,000 books written by various ID supporters, many published by University presses.

Jerry, I apologise, I didn't realise you'd responded on the thread you started. I think I asked you to tell me when you did in case I missed it in the shuffle of threads. Just as well I checked as I was wondering how the hell you had the time to find a two year old thread about Creationism, and post a completely irrelevent link on it, if you didn't have the time to respond to me.
Thanks. The reason I responded is it took 120 seconds (and I am already spending too much time on the Internet). How in the world do most of you people have the time???? I am still reading the posts on just this site! Any hints?
